Movies I Can't Wait To See

Okay so I'll admit it, I'm a movie junkie. I own around 150 DVDs and have a lot more on my wish list. I'm always looking forward to seeing whats coming out next. Here are the ones I'm excited to see this year:

Source Code
[4/1/11]

What It's About: When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.

Water for Elephants

What It's About: A 90-year-old man reminisces about his life during the Depression, when he found work at a B-level circus taking care of the animals. He sees the brutality of circus life while falling for the wife of an abusive animal trainer. (Based on the novel by Sara Gruen)

Fast Five

What It's About: In the fifth installment in the "Fast and Furious" series, former cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they've blow across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail. Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can't separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he much rely on his instincts to corner his prey... before someone else runs them down first.

What It's About: When Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) he's not sure if its' love--or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the shop of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

What It's About: "Transformers 3" features Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. The film centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in ti all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets.

One Day
[7/8/11]
What It's About: Dexter (Jim Sturgess) and Emma (Anne Hathaway) meet for the first time during their graduation and proceed to meet one day a year for the next 20 years. They experience different lives and loves until they realize they are meant for each other. (Based on the novel by David Nicholls)

The Hangover Part II
[5/26/11]
 What It's About: Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justing Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned.

Friends with Benefits

What It's About: Story centers on a headhunter who recruits a magazine editor for a job, and realizing each is too busy to find a mate, they agree to sleep together with no strings attached. However, things start to get complicated when the guy falls for the girl, who's started dating someone else.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I

What It's About: Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, Bella has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. New Year's Eve

What It's About: The movie tells intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they navigate their way through romance over the course of New Year's Eve. Rober De Niro will play a bitter dying man in a hospital, while Michelle Pfeiffer will be a frustrated executive secretary who decides to tackle her unfulfilled resolutions. Hilary Swank will play a producer of the famed Times Square New Year's Eve show. Ashton Kutcher will play a guy who hates New Year's Eve. (I believe it's supposed to be like the movie Valentines Day)

Great list! Lots of sequels and movies based off of books. I am really looking forward to a lot of these.
