This Friday, April 22nd, is Earth Day! It's a great day to get out and do something good for the Earth. To get you motivated, here are a few ideas/deals of what you can do this year to help save the planet:

+ At participating Starbucks, you can bring in a reusable mug on April 22nd to get free brewed coffee or tea!

+ Lowe's is giving away one million trees on April 23rd.

+ Stop using using enough water bottles to circle the Earth 190 times like the commercial says and get a Brita Bottle. It filters ordinary tap water as you drink and reduces chlorine taste and odor to make tap water taste clean and refreshing.

+ Home Depot has scheduled several workshops, available at most stores during Earth Day week, including:

            - 7 p.m. April 21st

      -Kids Workshop: Earth Day/Easter Planter Basket
            - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 23rd

      -Spring Eco Workshop: Live Green. Save Green.
            - 10 a.m. April 23rd

      -Do-It-Herself Workshops: Eco Friendly Gardening
            - 1 p.m. April 23rd

+ The Sierra Club's Earth Day contest gives a chance to win a trip for two to Vieques Island in the Caribbean -- you just add a green pledge to the map.

+ Target has a Refresh Your Nest Sweepstakes. Grand prize gets a $50,000 home makeover, but runners up can win one of three trips, bicycles, cameras, an energy makeover for your home and more.
