Awkward & Awesome

Awkward
- Waving at someone only to realize they are waving at the person behind you.
-Searching your entire room for your favorite pony tail only to stop and realize its on your wrist.
-Mother nature's attempt for "spring like" weather here in Michigan.
-When you dip your finger in something to taste it only to remember that just a few minutes ago you took your nail polish off and totally spaced on washing your hands. So now you have that nasty nail polish remover taste in your mouth.

Awesome
-Pugs
-New nail polish! I just bought yellow and gray the other day.
-Sleeping in because you have nothing else to do.
-Finally tackling the pile of monthly fashion magazines on my coffee table.

What's for Dinner Tonight?

...along with some bacon and scrambled eggs with shredded cheese on top...NUMMY!

I had an amazing time making french toast for the first time tonight and thought I would share the goodness! I know it's usually a breakfast meal but I was craving it. I never really realized how weird french toast is...I mean bread with egg cooked on it? Well who ever created it is a genius!

..........................

Okay so I was curious and googled it...hahaha. According to Wikipedia, it was created in France...hence the name...and the earliest mention of it is in the Apicius, a collection of French recipes dating back to the 4th or 5th century!

Since a lot of people make it different ways, depending on where you live or how your mom makes it (that's how I learned to make it anyways), I figured I should share my ingredients:
  • Bread (This time I used Whole Wheat)
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
The amount you use of everything depends on how many you make. Four people were eating so I allowed all of us to get three pieces. In a medium sized bowl I mixed together 5 or 6 eggs, some milk...just enough so it's not to eggy and not to milky (probably about 3 cups ???), then about three small drops/pours of the vanilla extract.

Then, as you can see from the picture, I put butter and syrup on top!

Hope you enjoyed!

Weekly Gratitude

[I received my Buddy Wayfarer glasses today in the mail!]

This week I'm grateful for:

- All of my amazing blogger friends for helping me understand new things!
- My I-Pod...I love listening to it when I clean.
- My hair..lol. Even though on most days it won't do what I want it to, it's still very pretty and I get compliments on it all the time. : )
- Grey's Anatomy not being a repeat! But I'm sad to say that I got so used to not watching it that I totally forgot that it was on and had to watch it on hulu.
- My slippers for keeping my feet warm on these very cold nights here in Michigan.

"Super" Moon

Scientists say the moon rising in the east at sunset will appear 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter at its peak.

Full moons vary in size because of the oval shape of the moon's orbit, with one end closer to Earth. Today, the moon is 221,565 miles away, as compared to the average distance of 238,000 miles - the closest to Earth since March 1993.

It didn't look that different to me but maybe I was looking at the wrong time.
